SYDNEY – Two goals to Grant Toulmin and three points to Geordie Wudrick helped the Sydney Ice Dogs defeat the Sydney Bears 5-1 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Saturday evening.

Toulmin scored his first goal at 3.43 of the first period, with Geordie Wudrick and Todd Stephenson picking up the assists. Toulmin scored his second goal at 12.49 of the third period, with Geordie Wudrick and Nathan Chiarlittii picking up the assists.

Geordie Wudrick got 3 assists for 3 points, and Todd Stephenson picked up 2 assists for 2 points. Nathan Chiarlittii scored 1 goals and got 1 assist for 2 points. Chiarlittii scored the game winning goal at 3.02 of the 1st, assisted by Todd Stephenson and Geordie Wudrick.

Adrian Esposito scored the lone Bears goal at 15.38 of the third period, assisted by Michael Haynes.

Curtis Skip was the winning goalie for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 28 saves on 29 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.966 in his AIHL debut. Anthony Kimlin was the losing goalie for Sydney Bears, making 19 saves on 23 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.826.
