
MELBOURNE – Joseph Harcharik scored a hat trick and Robert Haselhurst scored the late game-winning goal as the Newcastle Northstars beat the Melbourne Ice 5-4 at the O’Brien Group Arena on Saturday evening.
Harcharik scored his first goal at 5.52 of the first period, with Sam Lawson and Robert Malloy picking up the assists. Harcharik scored his second goal at 3.16 of the second period, with Tomas Landa and Nick Rivait picking up the assists. Harcharik scored his third goal at 12.50 of the third period, with Tomas Landa and Nick Rivait picking up the assists.
Robert Haselhurst scored the game winning goal at 0.01 of the 3rd, assisted by Richard Tesarik and Patrick Ward.
Nick Rivait scored 1 goals and got 2 assists for 3 points, and Tomas Landa picked up 3 assists for 3 points.
