
MELBOURNE – Nicholas Rivait scored 3 points and Robert Haselhurst’s goal helped the Newcastle Northstars defeat the Melbourne Mustangs 4-3 at the O’Brien Group Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Rivait scored his goal at 14.39 of the second period, assisted by Hayden Sheard and Joseph Harcharik. Robert Haselhurst scored the game winning goal at 12.56 of the 3rd, assisted by Nicholas Rivait and Patrick Ward.
Patrick O’Kane scored 1 goal and got 1 assist for 2 points for the Mustangs, as did Benjamin Davies.
Dayne Davis was the winning goalie for Newcastle Northstars, making 32 saves on 35 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.914. Petri Pitkänen was the losing goalie for Melbourne Mustangs, making 37 saves on 41 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.902.
