CANBERRA – Ainars Podzins scored 2 goals and Trevor Gerling tallied 5 points as the CBR Brave defeated the Perth Thunder 6-2 at the Phillip Swimming & Ice Skating Centre on Saturday evening.

Podzins scored his first goal at 9.28 of the second period, with Joseph Hughes and Trevor Gerling picking up the assists. Podzins scored his second goal at 8.44 of the second period, with Trevor Gerling and Joseph Hughes picking up the assists.

Trevor Gerling scored 1 goal and got 4 assists for 5 points, and Joseph Hughes got 3 assists for 3 points.

Landon Oslanski scored his first goal for the Thunder at 3.04 of the first period, with Benjamin Breault and Pier-Olivier Grandmaison picking up the assists.
