CANBERRA – Wehebe Darge tallied two points and Channing Bresciani earned two points as the CBR Brave defeated the Melbourne Ice 4-1 at the Phillip Swimming & Ice Skating Centre on Sunday afternoon.

Wehebe Darge opened the scoring at 13:25 of the first period, with Per Daniel Göransson and Hayden Dawes picking up the assists.

Channing Bresciani scored the game winning goal at 18:59 of the 3rd, assisted by Mitchell Henning and Hayden Dawes.

Hayden Dawes got two assists for two points.

Mat Hewitt was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 22 saves on 23 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.957. Jaden Pine-Murphy was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 40 saves on 44 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.909. Pine-Murphy left the game with a minute left in the third period for an extra attacker. It backfired, as Trevor Gerling scored an empty net goal at 0:45 of the third period, assisted by Channing Bresciani and Joseph Hughes.
