
SYDNEY – Nathan Chiarlittii and Grant Toulmin each scored a goal and an assist as the Sydney Ice Dogs won over the Sydney Bears in a shootout 3-2 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Saturday evening.
Chiarlittii scored at 5:01 of the second period to open the Ice Dogs’ scoring. The assists on the goal went to Toulmin and David Dunwoodie.
Toulmin scored one goal at 5:15 of the third period, assisted by Chiarlittii and Geordie Wudrick.
Jeremy Vasquez and Ryan Lough scored the goals for the Bears. Lough, in his first AIHL game, also scored the lone shootout goal for the Bears, while Toulmin and Wudrick scored for the Ice Dogs.
Curtis Skip was the winning goalie for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 23 saves on 25 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.920. Anthony Kimlin was the losing goalie for Sydney Bears, making 22 saves on 24 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.917.
