Grandmaison Hat Trick Leads The Way, Thunder Win Over Adrenaline

PERTH – Pier-Olivier Grandmaison scored a hat trick and Landon Oslanski earned four points as the Perth Thunder beat the Adelaide Adrenaline 5-3 at the Perth Ice Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Grandmaison’s first goal came at 7:09 of the second period, with Oslanski and Kaden Goulds picking up the assists. Grandmaison’s second goal, a short handed goal, came at 3:52 of the second period, with Oslanski and Peter Di Salvo picking up the assists. The third goal for Grandmaison, an empty net goal, was scored at 0:30 of the third period, with Benjamin Breault and Oslanski picking up the assists.

In total, Oslanski got four assists for four points for the game. Breault scored the game winning goal at 7:26 of the 3rd, assisted by Grandmaison and Jason McMahon.

Ales Kratoska scored two goals for the Adrenaline. His first goal, a power play goal, was at 13:08 of the second period, with Caleb Apperson and Josef Rezek picking up the assists. Kratoska’s second goal came at 6:46 of the third period, with Alex Adams and Steve Best picking up the assists.

Adams scored one goal and one assist for two points for Adelaide.

Peter Di Salvo was the winning goalie for Perth Thunder, making 18 saves on 21 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.857. Sebastian Andersson was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 35 saves on 39 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.897. Andersson left the game at 19:59 of the third period. It backfired, as Grandmaison scored an empty net goal at 0:30 of the third period, assisted by Breault and Oslanski.
