ADELAIDE – Joseph Hughes scored four goals and Channing Bresciani tallied five points as the CBR Brave crushed the Adelaide Adrenaline 11-4 at the IceArenA on Saturday afternoon.

Hughes’ first goal came at 5:36 of the first period, with Trevor Gerling and Ainars Podzins picking up the assists. Hughes scored his second goal, a power play goal which turned out to be the game winner, at 2:55 of the second period, with Hayden Dawes and Bresciani picking up the assists. Hughes scored his third goal at 8:45 of the third period, with Bresciani and Podzins picking up the assists. The fourth goal for Hughes was scored at 0:44 of the third period, with Mitch Henning and Per Daniel Göransson picking up the assists.

Bresciani ended the afternoon five assists for five points.

The first goal for Podzins was scored at 10:34 of the first period, with Hughes and Kai Miettinen picking up the assists. The second goal for Podzins was scored at 4:13 of the third period, with Wehebe Darge and Dawes picking up the assists.

Dawes and Per Daniel Göransson scored one goal each and two assists each for three points each.

Ales Kratoska scored his first goal for the Adrenaline at 6:22 of the second period, with Josef Rezek and Caleb Apperson picking up the assists. Kratoska’s second goal, a power play goal, came at 12:00 of the third period, with Harley Anderson and Alex Adams picking up the assists.

Apperson scored one goal and two assists for three points, and Rezek scored one goal and one assist for two points.

Matt Hewitt was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 11 saves on 13 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.846. Hewitt left the game at the end of the second period. Alex Tetreault was the backup goalie for CBR Brave, making 8 saves on 10 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.800. Tetreault joined the game at the start of the 3rd period. Sebastian Andersson was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 28 saves on 35 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.800. Andersson left the game at 13:28 of the second period. Glen Forbes-White was the backup goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 13 saves on 17 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.765.
