Leveille Leads The Way, Brave Win Over Thunder

PERTH – Chris Leveille found the back of the net twice and four points to Wehebe Darge helped the CBR Brave defeat the Perth Thunder 6-2 at the Perth Ice Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Leveille scored his first goal, a short handed goal, at 9:20 of the third period, with Trevor Gerling and Wehebe Darge picking up the assists. Leveille scored his second goal at 5:22 of the third period, with Wehebe Darge and Hayden Dawes picking up the assists.

Ainars Podzins scored the game winning goal at 16:10 of the 3rd, assisted by Wehebe Darge and Matthew Harvey.

Wehebe Darge got four assists for four points, while Matthew Harvey and Hayden Dawes scored one goal and one assist for two points each. Trevor Gerling got two assists for two points.

Pier-Olivier Grandmaison and Alastair Punler were the goal scorers for the Thunder.

Mat Hewitt was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 33 saves on 35 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.943. Peter Di Salvo was the losing goalie for Perth Thunder, making 58 saves on 64 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.906.
