
NEWCASTLE – Sammy Banga found the back of the net twice and four points to Joseph Harcharik helped the Newcastle Northstars defeat the Adelaide Adrenaline 5-4 at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on Saturday evening.
Banga scored his first goal at 4:46 of the first period, with David Ferrari and Joseph Harcharik picking up the assists. Banga scored his second goal at 1:28 of the first period, with Joseph Harcharik and Robert Malloy picking up the assists.
Malloy scored his first goal at 15:50 of the third period, with Joseph Harcharik and Sammy Banga picking up the assists. Malloy’s second goal, the game winner, came at 2:59 of the third period, with Nicholas Rivait and Sammy Banga picking up the assists.
Joseph Harcharik scored one goal and three assists for four points, and Nicholas Rivait got two assists for two points.
Steve Best scored his first goal for the Adrenaline at 8:52 of the third period, with Ales Kratoska getting the assist. Best scored his second goal at 5:53 of the third period, with Alex Adams and Ales Kratoska picking up the assists.
Kratoska scored one goal and two assists for three points.
