PERTH – A goal at 3:12 of the 3rd period to Andrew Cox tied the game to help the Perth Thunder defeat the Melbourne Ice 4-3 in a shootout at the Perth Ice Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Andrew Cox scored the game winning goal at 3:12 of the 3rd, assisted by David Kudla and Jonathon Bremner. Tomek Sak and Pier-Olivier Grandmaison scored the other goals for the Thunder.
Lliam Webster, Thomas Powell and Nate Fleming scored for the Ice. Dylan Anderson got three assists for three points.
Peter Di Salvo was the winning goalie for Perth Thunder, making 33 saves on 36 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.917. James Downie was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 29 saves on 32 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.906.
