Two Points By Apperson Helps Adrenaline Beat Thunder

ADELAIDE – Two points to Caleb Apperson and a goal to Tyler Leeming helped the Adelaide Adrenaline defeat the Perth Thunder 2-1 at the IceArenA on Sunday afternoon.

Leeming scored the game winning goal at 3:40 of the 2nd, assisted by Apperson and Ales Kratoska. Apperson got two assists for two points.

Harley Anderson scored the first goal for the Adrenaline, scoring at 11:50 of the first period. His goal was assisted by Corey Stringer and Apperson.

The lone Thunder goal was scored by Pier-Olivier Grandmaison at 13:16 of the first period. It was a shorthanded goal, assisted by Benjamin Breault, with Jonathon Bremner in the penalty box for hooking.

Sebastian Andersson was the winning goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 41 saves on 42 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.976. Peter Di Salvo was the losing goalie for Perth Thunder, making 25 saves on 27 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.926. Di Salvo left the game at 18:58 of the third period, however the Thunder were able to take advantage of the extra attacker.
