
CANBERRA – Chris Leveille scored two goals and Wehebe Darge tallied two points as the CBR Brave defeated the Adelaide Adrenaline 5-2 at the Phillip Swimming & Ice Skating Centre on Saturday evening.
Leveille scored his first goal at 19:31 of the third period, with Hayden Dawes and Bayley Kubara picking up the assists. Leveille scored his second goal, a power play goal, at 1:59 of the third period, with Darge and Ainars Podzins picking up the assists.
Wehebe Darge and Casey Kubara scored one goal and one assist for two points each, while Ainars Podzins got two assists for two points.
Kai Miettinen scored the game winning goal at 14:55 of the 3rd, assisted by Kubara and Matthew Harvey.
Tyler Leeming scored his first goal for the Adrenaline at 11:57 of the first period, with Zach Boyle and Ryan Foll picking up the assists. Leeming’s second goal, a power play goal, came at 1:02 of the first period, with Foll and Alex Adams picking up the assists.
Foll finished the game with two assists for two points.
Matt Hewitt was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 15 saves on 17 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.882. Sebastian Andersson was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 48 saves on 53 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.906. Andersson left the game at 19:22 of the third period, however the Adrenaline were unable to take advantage of the extra attacker.
