Four Goals To Adams Leads Bears Over Thunder

PERTH – Four goals to Charles Adams and a goal to Ryan Annesley helped the Sydney Bears win over the Perth Thunder 6-4 at the Perth Ice Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Adams’ first goal came at 11:50 of the first period, with Michael Schlamp and Annesley picking up the assists. Adams’ second goal came at 14:40 of the second period, with Ryan Lough and Graeme Strukoff picking up the assists. Adams’ third goal, a power play goal, came at 13:01 of the second period, with Annesley and Strukoff picking up the assists. Adams’ fourth goal, a short handed goal, came at 11:09 of the second period, with Ryan Lough and Tyerell Clare picking up the assists.

Annesley scored the game winning goal at 19:29 of the 3rd, assisted by Strukoff and Lough.

Ryan Lough scored one goal and three assists for four points, while Graeme Strukoff got three assists for three points.

Benjamin Breault, Pier-Olivier Grandmaison and Andrew Cox all scored one goal and one assist for two points each for the Thunder.

Anthony Kimlin was the winning goalie for Sydney Bears, making 27 saves on 31 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.871. Peter Di Salvo was the losing goalie for Perth Thunder, making 43 saves on 48 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.896. Di Salvo left the game late in the third for an extra attacker. However the tactic backfired, as Lough scored an empty net goal at 1:52 of the third period, assisted by Adams and Annesley.
