CANBERRA – Wehebe Darge scored a hat trick and Trevor Gerling earned eight points as the CBR Brave won over the Sydney Ice Dogs 11-8 at the Phillip Swimming & Ice Skating Centre on Saturday evening.

Darge’s first goal, a power play goal, came at 8:57 of the second period, with Gerling and Casey Kubara picking up the assists. Darge scored his second goal, a power play goal, at 0:04 of the second period, with Gerling and Channing Bresciani picking up the assists. The third goal for Darge was scored at 15:22 of the third period, with Gerling and Casey Kubara picking up the assists.

Trevor Gerling scored two goals and six assists for eight points.

Casey Kubara scored the first of his two goals at 14:13 of the first period, with Gerling and Bresciani picking up the assists. Kubara scored his second goal at 2:42 of the first period, with Gerling and Darge picking up the assists.

Bresciani finished the night with three assists for three points.

Tyler Kubara’s first goal came at 2:21 of the first period, with Mitch Henning getting the assist. Tyler’s second goal came at 15:01 of the third period, with Henning and James Byers picking up the assists.

Henning and Byers got two assists for two points each.

Strat Allen scored his first goal for the Ice Dogs, a power play goal, at 7:10 of the first period, with Grant Toulmin and Geordie Wudrick picking up the assists. Allen scored his second goal, a power play goal, at 5:40 of the second period, with Toulmin and Bryan Kolodziejczyk picking up the assists. The third goal for Allen, a power play goal, was scored at 13:29 of the third period, with Toulmin and David Dunwoodie picking up the assists.

Geordie Wudrick’s first goal came at 2:08 of the second period, with Kolodziejczyk getting the assist. Wudrick scored his second goal at 1:24 of the third period, with Kolodziejczyk getting the assist.
