Grandmaison’s Two Goals Help Thunder Beat Ice

MELBOURNE – Two goals to Pier-Olivier Grandmaison and Landon Oslanski tallied four points as the Perth Thunder won over the Melbourne Ice 6-3 at the O’Brien Group Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Grandmaison’s first goal came at 6:23 of the second period, with Oslanski and Alastair Punler picking up the assists. Grandmaison’s second goal came at 5:04 of the second period, assisted by Oslanski and Tomek Sak.

Landon Oslanski scored one goal and three assists for four points, and Jordan Kyros scored one goal and one assist for two points.

Andrew Cox scored the game winning goal at 3:12 of the 2nd, assisted by Oslanski and Benjamin Breault.

Matt Armstrong scored one goal and one assist for two points for the Ice, while Thomas Powell got two assists for two points.

Peter Di Salvo was the winning goalie for Perth Thunder, making 30 saves on 33 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.909. Jaden Pine-Murphy was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 24 saves on 30 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.800.
