Gerling Scores Hat Trick As Brave Defeat Ice

MELBOURNE – Trevor Gerling scored a hat trick and Wehebe Darge earned two points as the CBR Brave won over the Melbourne Ice 6-2 at the O’Brien Group Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Gerling scored his first goal at 3:22 of the first period, with Chris Leveille and Joseph Hughes picking up the assists. The second goal for Gerling was scored at 13:05 of the second period, with Channing Bresciani and Chris Leveille picking up the assists. Gerling scored his third goal, a power play goal, at 1:31 of the second period, with Wehebe Darge and Hayden Dawes picking up the assists.

Wehebe Darge and Hayden Dawes scored one goal and one assist for two points, while Chris Leveille and Channing Bresciani got two assists for two points.

Matt Armstrong and Cassian Delsar scored the goals for the Ice.

Matt Hewitt was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 16 saves on 18 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.889. Jaden Pine-Murphy was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 33 saves on 39 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.846.
