Henning’s Two Help Brave Beat Bears

SYDNEY – Mitchell Henning found the back of the net twice and three points to Wehebe Darge helped the CBR Brave beat the Sydney Bears 4-1 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Sunday evening.

The first goal for Henning was scored at 14:47 of the second period unassisted. Henning scored his second goal, a power play goal and the game winner, at 11:37 of the second period, with Matthew Harvey and Wehebe Darge picking up the assists.

Wehebe Darge scored one goal and two assists for three points, and Matthew Harvey got two assists for two points. Andreas Camenzind also scored for the Brave.

Brian Funes scored the lone Bears goal at 11:31 of the first period, assisted by Vladimir Rubes and Timothy Newmark.

Alex Tetreault was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 28 saves on 29 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.966.

Anthony Kimlin was the losing goalie for Sydney Bears, making 19 saves on 23 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.826.
