Banga Scores Hat Trick As Northstars Smash Ice

NEWCASTLE – Sammy Banga scored a hat trick and Dominik Gabaj found the back of the net two times the Newcastle Northstars blew away the Melbourne Ice 6-0 at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Banga scored his first goal, a power play goal, at 9:37 of the first period, with Robert Malloy and Dominik Gabaj picking up the assists. The second goal for Banga was scored at 0:41 of the first period, with Francis Drolet getting the assist. Banga’s third goal came at 12:42 of the third period, with Francis Drolet getting the assist.

Gabaj scored his first goal at 8:57 of the third period, with Richard Tesarik and Timothy Stanger picking up the assists. Gabaj’s second goal came at 3:54 of the third period, with Patrick Nadin and Robert Malloy picking up the assists.

Robert Malloy scored one goal and two assists for three points, and Francis Drolet got two assists for two points.
