
SYDNEY – Danick Gauthier scored two goals and Jeremy Brücker earned three points as the Sydney Bears defeated the Melbourne Ice 4-1 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Sunday evening.
Gauthier’s first goal, a power play goal, came at 11:45 of the third period, with Ryan Annesley and Jeremy Brücker picking up the assists. The second goal for Gauthier was scored at 2:36 of the third period, with Michael Schlamp and Jeremy Vasquez picking up the assists.
Jeremy Brücker scored at 0:27 of the third period, with Michael Schlamp and Danick Gauthier getting the assists. Brücker also got two assists for three points for the game.
Bears captain Michael Schlamp scored one goal and two assists for three points.
Tom Powell scored the lone Ice goal, assisted by Jesse Schwartz and Todd Graham, at 14:03 of the second period.
Anthony Kimlin was the winning goalie for Sydney Bears, making 32 saves on 33 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.970. Sebastian Andersson was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 19 saves on 22 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.864.
