Armstrong’s Three Points Help Ice Beat Adrenaline

MELBOURNE – Matt Armstrong tallied three points and Todd Graham scored the game winning goal as the Melbourne Ice beat the Adelaide Adrenaline 4-2 at the O’Brien Icehouse on Saturday evening.

Matt Armstrong scored a power play goal at 11:34 of the second period to open the Ice’s scoring.  Armstrong’s goal was unassisted.  Armstrong also tallied two assists for three points in the game.

Todd Graham scored the game winning goal at 15:45 of the 3rd, assisted by Thomas Powell and Matt Armstrong.

Jacob Lundgren and JM Piotrowski scored the other goals for the Ice.  Thomas Powell got two assists for two points.

Ales Kratoska and Jake Riley were the goal scorers for the Adrenaline, and Zachary Boyle got two assists for two points.

James Downie was the winning goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 24 saves on 26 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.923.  Jesse Gordichuk was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 33 saves on 37 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.892.
