
PERTH – A hat trick to Kieren Webster and Louick Marcotte tallied three points as the Perth Thunder beat the Sydney Bears 5-4 at the Perth Ice Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Webster scored his first goal at 7:53 of the first period, with David Kudla and Keven Veilleux picking up the assists. The second goal for Webster was scored at 19:47 of the third period, with Keven Veilleux and Louick Marcotte picking up the assists. Webster scored his third goal at 12:25 of the third period, with Louick Marcotte and Sean Hamilton picking up the assists.
Louick Marcotte scored for the Thunder at 18:32 of the third period, assisted by Robert Haselhurst. Marcotte also added two assists for three points.
Sean Hamilton and Keven Veilleux got two assists for two points.
Danick Gauthier scored one goal and two assists for three points for the Bears.
Nico Viksten was the winning goalie for Perth Thunder, making 28 saves on 32 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.875. Anthony Kimlin was the losing goalie for Sydney Bears, making 28 saves on 33 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.848.
