Three Points By Schwartz Helps Ice Defeat Adrenaline

ADELAIDE – Three points to Jesse Schwartz and two points to JM Piotrowski helped the Melbourne Ice win over the Adelaide Adrenaline 3-1 at the IceArenA on Sunday afternoon.

Jesse Schwartz scored an unassisted goal at 10:07 of the third period.  Schwartz also assisted on goals by Kasey Kulczycki and Darcy Flanagan, to earn three points for the game.

Kulczycki and Flanagan scored a goal apiece, and JM Piotrowski got two assists for two points.

Darcy Flanagan scored the game winning goal at 1:14 of the 1st, assisted by Jesse Schwartz and JM Piotrowski.

There were 4 penalties at 9:58 of the 3rd period, resulting in 50 minutes of penalties. Kahu Joyce and Alexandre Gauthier got Game Misconduct and fighting penalties.

James Downie was the winning goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 18 saves on 19 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.947.  Jesse Gordichuk was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 37 saves on 40 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.925.
