
SYDNEY – Four goals to Jesse Gabrielle and four points to Jordan Draper helped the CBR Brave win over the Sydney Bears 6-3 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Sunday evening.
Gabrielle scored his first goal, a power play goal, at 5:20 of the first period, with Jordan Draper and Joseph Hughes picking up the assists. Gabrielle’s second goal came at 8:37 of the second period, with Jordan Draper and picking up the assists. The fourth goal for Gabrielle, another power play goal, came at 16:15 of the third period, with Joseph Hughes and Jordan Draper picking up the assists. Gabrielle scored his fourth goal at 6:32 of the third period, with Casey Kubara and Joseph Hughes picking up the assists.
Jordan Draper scored at 7:01 of the third period, assisted by Bayley Kubara and Wehebe Darge. Draper also picked up three assists for four points.
Joseph Hughes got four assists for four points, and Wehebe Darge scored one goal and one assist for two points.
The Bears goals were scored by Brian Funes, Christopher Moquin and Alexander Wardlaw.
Matthew Climie was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 21 saves on 24 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.875. Anthony Kimlin was the losing goalie for Sydney Bears, making 33 saves on 39 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.846.
