
SYDNEY – Two goals to Danick Gauthier and Jake Ratcliffe saw the Sydney Bears beat the Melbourne Ice 6-4 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Saturday evening.
Gauthier’s first goal came at 2:34 of the second period, with Kyllian Guyenet and Adam Dauda picking up the assists. Gauthier scored his second goal at 15:25 of the third period, with Brian Funes and picking up the assists.
Ratcliffe’s first goal, a short handed goal, came at 7:57 of the second period, with Adam Dauda and Danick Gauthier picking up the assists. The second goal for Ratcliffe was scored at 6:54 of the third period, with Adam Dauda getting the assist.
Ryan Annesley and Timothy Newmark also scored for the Bears. Adam Dauda got three assists for three points.
Thomas Stahlhuth’s first goal for the Ice, a short handed goal, came at 11:40 of the first period, with Austin McKenzie and Sam Hodic picking up the assists. Stahlhuth’s second goal, a power play goal, came at 8:54 of the second period, with JM Piotrowski and picking up the assists. Stahlhuth scored his third goal at 2:05 of the third period, with Jeremy Chai and Mackenzie Caruana picking up the assists.
Jonathon Bremner also scored for the Ice. Sam Hodic and Mackenzie Caruana got two assists for two points each.
Anthony Kimlin was the winning goalie for Sydney Bears, making 24 saves on 28 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.857.
