Tobin’s Two Help Thunder Win Over Adrenaline

PERTH – Shaun Tobin scored two goals and Robert Haselhurst scored the game winner as the Perth Thunder beat the Adelaide Adrenaline 5-2 at the Perth Ice Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Tobin scored his first goal at 11:17 of the first period, with Keven Veilleux and Jake Gilmour picking up the assists. Tobin’s second goal came at 6:35 of the third period, with Andrew Cox and Jake Gilmour picking up the assists.

Robert Haselhurst scored the game winning goal at 15:57 of the 3rd, assisted by Keven Veilleux and Louick Marcotte.  Haselhurst also scored at 1:46 of the first period, with Shaun Tobin and Andrew Cox picking up the assists.

Keven Veilleux scored one goal and two assists for three points.  Andrew Cox, Louick Marcotte and Jake Gilmour got two assists for two points each.

The goal scorers for the Adrenaline were Nathaniel Benson and Steve Best.

Nico Viksten was the winning goalie for Perth Thunder, making 21 saves on 23 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.913.  Jesse Gordichuk was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 43 saves on 48 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.896.
