Ratcliffe Scores Hat Trick As Bears Beat Ice Dogs

SYDNEY – Jake Ratcliffe scored a hat trick and Kyllian Guyenet scored the game winning goal as the Sydney Bears beat the Sydney Ice Dogs 6-4 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Saturday evening.

Ratcliffe’s first goal came at 7:56 of the first period, with Ryan Annesley and Danick Gauthier picking up the assists. The second goal for Ratcliffe, a power play goal, was scored at 0:18 of the first period, with Danick Gauthier and Adam Dauda picking up the assists. Ratcliffe’s third goal came at 4:40 of the second period, with Brian Funes and picking up the assists.

Kyllian Guyenet scored the game winning goal at 1:48 of the 2nd, assisted by Timothy Newmark.

Danick Gauthier and Adam Dauda scored one goal and two assists for three points.  Ryan Annesley got two assists for two points.

Dylan Manierka-Quaile scored his first goal for the Ice Dogs at 10:48 of the first period, with Tim Crowder and Jeremy Vasquez picking up the assists. The second goal for Manierka-Quaile, a power play goal, was scored at 4:22 of the first period, with Strat Allen and Jeremy Vasquez picking up the assists.

Strat Allen scored one goal and two assists for three points, Jeremy Vasquez got three assists for three points, and Tim Crowder got two assists for two points.

Anthony Kimlin was the winning goalie for Sydney Bears, making 31 saves on 35 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.886.  Garrett Bartus was the starting goalie for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 15 saves on 19 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.789. Bartus left the game at 6:47 of the 2nd period, and was replaced by Nicholas Novysedlak.  Novysedlak took the loss for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 14 saves on 16 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.875.
