Veilleux’s Five Points Help Thunder Smash Adrenaline

ADELAIDE – Keven Veilleux scored five points, including two goals, and Kieren Webster scored two goals as the Perth Thunder crushed the Adelaide Adrenaline 7-1 at the IceArenA on Sunday afternoon.

The first goal for Veilleux, a power play goal, was scored at 5:14 of the second period unassisted. The second goal for Veilleux was scored at 8:31 of the third period unassisted.  Veilleux also picked up three assists for five points in the game.

Webster’s first goal was scored at 13:10 of the third period, with James Woodman and Benjamin Breault picking up the assists. The second goal for Webster was scored at 9:03 of the third period, with Keven Veilleux and Lynden Lodge picking up the assists.

Jake Gilmour scored his first goal at 5:53 of the first period, with Keven Veilleux and Kieren Webster picking up the assists. Gilmour scored his second goal, a power play goal which turned into the game winner, at 12:23 of the second period, with Keven Veilleux picking up the assist.

Benjamin Breault scored one goal and one assist for two points.

Alexandre Gauthier scored the lone goal for the Adrenaline, which was a power play goal, at 9:36 of the third period, assisted by Josef Rezek and Kyle Neuber.

Nico Viksten was the winning goalie for Perth Thunder, making 33 saves on 34 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.971.  Jesse Gordichuk was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 24 saves on 30 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.800. Gordichuk left the game at 10:57 of the third period.
Glen Forbes-White was the backup goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 16 saves on 17 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.941.
