
MELBOURNE – Louick Marcotte scored three points and a late goal to Benjamin Breault saw the Perth Thunder defeat the Melbourne Mustangs 4-3 at the O’Brien Icehouse on Sunday afternoon.
Louick Marcotte scored a short-handed goal at 12:29 of the second period, assisted by Keven Veilleux and Benjamin Breault. Marcotte also got two assists for three points in the game.
Benjamin Breault scored the game winning goal at 0:37 of the 3rd, assisted by James Woodman and Louick Marcotte.
Robert Haselhurst and Kieren Webster scored one goal and one assist for two points.
Parker Thomas scored his first goal for the Mustangs at 8:24 of the first period, with Vadim Virjassov and Christian Isackson picking up the assists. Thomas’ second goal came at 6:08 of the first period unassisted.
Christian Isackson scored one goal and one assist for two points.
