Marcotte’s Two Help Thunder Blow Away Ice Dogs

PERTH – Louick Marcotte found the back of the net twice and two goals to Benjamin Breault saw the Perth Thunder shut out the Sydney Ice Dogs 5-0 at the Perth Ice Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Marcotte’s first goal, a power play goal, came at 7:46 of the first period, with Benjamin Breault and Jake Gilmour picking up the assists. The second goal for Marcotte was scored at 1:56 of the second period, with Tomek Sak picking up the assist.

Breault’s first goal came at 0:50 of the second period, with Louick Marcotte and Kieren Webster picking up the assists. Breault’s second goal came at 0:54 of the third period, with assists going to Louick Marcotte and Kieren Webster.

Kieren Webster scored at 7:04 of the third period, assisted by Lynden Lodge and Louick Marcotte.  Webster also tallied two assists for three points.

Nico Viksten was the winning goalie for Perth Thunder, making 29 saves on 29 shots, for a Save Percentage of 1.000.  Garrett Bartus was the losing goalie for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 32 saves on 37 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.865.
