
SYDNEY – Tim Crowder found the back of the net four times and Grant Toulmin scored twice as the Sydney Ice Dogs beat the Newcastle Northstars 7-4 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Friday night.
The first goal for Crowder was scored at 12:20 of the second period, with Grant Toulmin and Kale Costa picking up the assists. The second goal for Crowder was scored at 16:58 of the third period, with Grant Toulmin and James Marino picking up the assists. Crowder’s third goal came at 6:41 of the third period, with Kale Costa and James Marino picking up the assists. Crowder’s fourth goal, a power play goal, came at 1:29 of the third period, with Grant Toulmin and Strat Allen picking up the assists.
Toulmin scored his first goal at 9:13 of the second period, with Tim Crowder and Henrik Ahlin picking up the assists. Toulmin scored his second goal at 19:14 of the third period, with Tim Crowder and Shannon McGregor picking up the assists.
Kale Costa scored one goal and two assists for three points, and James Marino got two assists for two points.
Francis Drolet scored his first goal for the Northstars at 11:18 of the first period, with David Ferrari and Trey Phillips picking up the assists. Drolet’s second goal came at 6:10 of the first period, with Luke Simpson and Trey Phillips picking up the assists.
Luke Simpson scored one goal and one assist for two points, while Trey Phillips and Richard Tesarik got two assists for two points each.
