Anderson’s Hat Trick Help Mustangs Blow Away Adrenaline

ADELAIDE – Matt Anderson scored a hat trick and Christian Isackson found the back of the net twice as the Melbourne Mustangs demolished the Adelaide Adrenaline 8-3 at the IceArenA on Saturday afternoon.

Anderson’s first goal came at 5:05 of the first period, with Thomas Flack and Sean Jones picking up the assists. Anderson scored his second goal at 19:25 of the third period, with Thomas Flack and Sean Jones picking up the assists. Anderson scored his third goal, which became the game winner, at 15:36 of the third period, with Brendan McDowell and Sean Jones picking up the assists.

Isackson scored his first goal at 14:25 of the third period unassisted. Isackson’s second goal came at 9:00 of the third period, with Jaxson Lane picking up the assists.

Thomas Flack scored one goal and two assists for three points, Vadim Virjassov scored one goal and one assist for two points, and Sean Jones got four assists for four points.

The goal scorers for the Adrenaline were Benjamin Gavoille, Nathaniel Benson and Jake Riley.

Kevin Nastiuk was the winning goalie for Melbourne Mustangs, making 21 saves on 24 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.875.  Jesse Gordichuk was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 37 saves on 45 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.822.
