Camenzind, Darge Lead The Way As Brave Smash Ice

MELBOURNE – Andy Camenzind and Wehebe Darge scored two goals each as the CBR Brave blew away the Melbourne Ice 7-2 at the O’Brien Icehouse on Sunday afternoon.

The first goal for Camenzind, a power play goal, was scored at 4:50 of the first period, with Jesse Gabrielle and Conor Riley picking up the assists. Camenzind scored his second goal at 3:53 of the second period, with Nick Christensen and Joseph Hughes picking up the assists.  Camenzind also got two assists for four points in the game.

The first goal for Darge was scored at 3:00 of the first period, with Adam Kambeitz and Casey Kubara picking up the assists. The second goal for Darge was scored at 16:00 of the third period, with Conor Riley and Casey Kubara picking up the assists.

Jesse Gabrielle scored one goal and two assists for three points, and Joseph Hughes scored one goal and one assist for two points.

Conor Riley got four assists for four points, while Casey Kubara got two assists for two points.

Thomas Stahlhuth scored one goal and one assist for two points for the Ice, while Kasey Kulczycki also scored.

Matthew Climie was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 16 saves on 18 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.889.  Thomas Munro was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 34 saves on 41 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.829.
