
ADELAIDE – Christian Isackson scored two goals and Sean Jones tallied two points as the Melbourne Mustangs beat the Adelaide Adrenaline 5-3 at the IceArenA on Sunday afternoon.
The first goal for Isackson, a short handed goal, was scored at 9:38 of the second period, with Vadim Virjassov and Parker Thomas picking up the assists. The second goal for Isackson was scored at 12:01 of the third period, with Jordan Owens picking up the assist.
Sean Jones scored the first goal of the game, a power play goal, at 8:06 of the first period, assisted by Jaxson Lane and Matt Anderson. Jones also got one assist for two points.
Parker Thomas scored one goal and one assist for two points, while Vadim Virjassov and Jordan Owens got two assists for two points each.
Adelaide’s Ales Kratoska and Josef Rezek scored one goal and one assist for two points each, and Andrew Stapleton also scored a goal.
Kevin Nastiuk was the winning goalie for Melbourne Mustangs, making 21 saves on 24 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.875. Glen Forbes-White was the losing goalie for Adelaide Adrenaline, making 45 saves on 49 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.918.
