Gauthier, Dauda Score Two As Bears Defeat Ice

MELBOURNE – Danick Gauthier scored two goals and Adam Dauda found the back of the net two times as the Sydney Bears beat the Melbourne Ice 6-3 at the O’Brien Icehouse on Saturday evening.

Gauthier’s first goal came at 6:27 of the first period, with Adam Dauda and Jake Ratcliffe picking up the assists. Gauthier scored his second goal, a power play goal, at 0:10 of the first period, with Adam Dauda and Ryan Annesley picking up the assists.  Gauthier also picked up three assists for five points in the game.

Dauda scored his first goal, a power play goal, at 13:48 of the first period, with Ryan Annesley and Danick Gauthier picking up the assists. Dauda’s second goal, a power play goal, came at 7:58 of the first period, with Ryan Annesley and Danick Gauthier picking up the assists.

Ryan Annesley got three assists for three points, and Jake Ratcliffe scored one goal and one assist for two points.

Jonathan Bremner scored his first goal for the Ice at 5:59 of the second period unassisted. Bremner’s second goal came at 16:00 of the third period, with JM Piotrowski and Tom Powell picking up the assists.  Sam Hodic also scored for the Ice.

Anthony Kimlin was the winning goalie for Sydney Bears, making 45 saves on 48 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.938.  Thomas Munro was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 29 saves on 35 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.829.
