
PERTH – Louick Marcotte found the back of the net twice and Lynden Lodge scored the game winner as the Perth Thunder won over the Sydney Bears 5-1 at the Perth Ice Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Marcotte scored his first goal, a power play goal, at 0:38 of the first period, with Keven Veilleux and Kieren Webster picking up the assists. Marcotte scored his second goal at 2:01 of the third period, with Keven Veilleux and picking up the assists.
Lynden Lodge scored the game winning goal at 9:38 of the 2nd, assisted by Louick Marcotte.
Benjamin Breault and Keven Veilleux got two assists for two points.
Jake Ratcliffe scored the lone Bears goal at 4:46 of the third period, assisted by Tyerell Clare and Danick Gauthier.
Nico Viksten was the winning goalie for Perth Thunder, making 30 saves on 31 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.968. Anthony Kimlin was the losing goalie for Sydney Bears, making 25 saves on 30 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.833.
