
MELBOURNE – Paul Crowder scored a hat trick and Dylan Manierka-Quaile earned three points as the Sydney Ice Dogs crushed the Melbourne Mustangs 6-1 at the O’Brien Icehouse on Sunday afternoon.
Crowder scored his first goal at 8:24 of the first period, with Tim Crowder and Lachlan Fahmy picking up the assists. The second goal for Crowder was at 0:56 of the first period, with assists going to Tomas Manco and David Dunwoodie. Crowder scored his third goal at 6:09 of the third period, with Dylan Manierka-Quaile and Daniel Pataky picking up the assists.
Dylan Manierka-Quaile scored the opening goal of the game at 14:06 of the first period, assisted by both Tim and Paul Crowder. Manierka-Quaile also picked up two assists for three points.
Tim Crowder scored a goal at 11:06 of the second period, assisted by Paul Crowder. Tim also got two assists for three points.
The lone Mustangs goal was scored by Jamie Bourke at 8:06 of the third period, assisted by Christian Isackson and Vadim Virjassov.
Garrett Bartus was the winning goalie for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 33 saves on 34 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.971. Kevin Nastiuk was the losing goalie for Melbourne Mustangs, making 10 saves on 16 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.625.
