
NEWCASTLE – A hat trick to Luke Simpson and Francis Drolet found the back of the net twice as the Newcastle Northstars smashed the Adelaide Adrenaline 14-3 at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Simpson scored his first goal, a power play goal, at 13:56 of the second period, with Sammy Banga and Francis Drolet picking up the assists. The second goal for Simpson was scored at 12:05 of the second period unassisted. Simpson scored his third goal at 1:00 of the second period, with Patrick Ward and Jayson Chalker picking up the assists.
The first goal for Drolet was scored at 11:35 of the second period, with Jayson Chalker and Richard Tesarik picking up the assists. Drolet’s second goal came at 2:15 of the second period, with Richard Tesarik and Sammy Banga picking up the assists.
Banga scored his first goal at 4:56 of the second period, with Trey Phillips and Francis Drolet picking up the assists. The second goal for Banga was scored at 1:17 of the third period unassisted.
Jayden Ryan’s first goal, a short handed goal, came at 5:03 of the first period, with Luke Simpson getting the assist. The second goal for Ryan, a power play goal, was scored at 3:09 of the second period, with Richard Tesarik and Liam Manwarring picking up the assists.
