Game Review: Gauthier’s Two Help Bears Beat Brave In SF1

NEWCASTLE – Danick Gauthier scored two goals and three points to Ryan Annesley helped the Sydney Bears score four times in the third period to stun the CBR Brave 6-4 in the first Semi Final at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Gauthier’s first goal came at 14:30 of the second period, with Ryan Annesley picking up the assist. The second goal for Gauthier was scored at 3:03 of the third period, with Michael Schlamp and Tyerell Clare picking up the assists.

Ryan Annesley scored at 13:59 of the third period, assisted by Gauthier.  Annesley also got two assists for three points.

Jake Ratcliffe scored one goal and one assist for two points for the Bears, while Michael Schlamp got two assists for two points.

CBR’s Joseph Hughes and Jesse Gabrielle scored one goal and one assist for two points each.

Anthony Kimlin was the winning goalie for Sydney Bears, making 24 saves on 28 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.857.  Matthew Climie was the losing goalie for CBR Brave, making 34 saves on 40 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.850.
