Kubara Leads The Way, Brave Smash Ice

MELBOURNE – Casey Kubara scored four goals and Wehebe Darge tallied eight points as the CBR Brave crushed the Melbourne Ice 10-3 at the O’Brien Icehouse on Saturday evening.

Kubara’s first goal came at 18:43 of the first period, with Matthew Price and Wehebe Darge picking up the assists. Kubara scored his second goal, a short handed goal, at 9:19 of the first period, with Mike Giorgi and Kai Miettinen picking up the assists. Kubara’s third goal came at 15:02 of the third period, with Wehebe Darge and Kai Miettinen picking up the assists. Kubara scored his fourth goal, a power play goal, at 9:33 of the third period, with Jamie Woodman and Wehebe Darge picking up the assists.

Casey Kubara also picked up  four assists for eight points.

Darge scored his first goal, a short handed goal, at 8:30 of the second period, with Matthew Price and Casey Kubara picking up the assists. The second goal for Darge was scored at 11:02 of the third period, with Kai Miettinen and Casey Kubara picking up the assists.

The first goal for Joseph Hughes was scored at 11:25 of the second period, with Andy Camenzind and Casey Kubara picking up the assists. Hughes scored his second goal, a short handed goal, at 3:02 of the second period, with Casey Kubara and Alastair Punler picking up the assists.

Andy Camenzind and Kai Miettinen got three assists for three points.  Jamie Woodman scored one goal and one assist for two points, and Alastair Punler got two assists for two points.

Paul Lazzarotto scored one goal and two assists for three points for the Ice, and Josh Walt got two assists for two points.

Alex Tetreault was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 21 saves on 24 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.875.

Michael James was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 38 saves on 48 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.792.
