
GAME REVIEW – MELBOURNE – Beau Taylor tallied two points and Tomas Landa scored the game winning goal as the Newcastle Northstars defeated the Melbourne Mustangs 3-1 at the O’Brien Icehouse on Saturday evening.
Beau Taylor scored his goal on the power play at 10:27 of the second period, assisted by Ethan Hawes and Tomas Landa. Taylor also had one assist for two points.
Tomas Landa scored the game winning goal at 1:59 of the 2nd, assisted by Francis Drolet and Ethan Hawes.
Francis Drolet and Ethan Hawes got two assists each for two points each.
Vadim Virjassov scored the only Mustangs goal at 14:30 of the second period, assisted by Jordan Warren and Sean Jones.
