Kubara, Valery-Trabucco Score Hat Tricks As Brave Crush Ice

CANBERRA – Hat tricks to Casey Kubara and Mario Valery-Trabucco saw the CBR Brave blow away the Melbourne Ice 9-1 at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre on Saturday evening.

The first goal for Kubara was scored at 0:01 of the first period, with Wehebe Darge getting the assist. Kubara’s second goal, a power play goal, came at 11:49 of the second period, with Mario Valery-Trabucco and Wehebe Darge picking up the assists. The third goal for Kubara was scored at 10:12 of the second period, with Wehebe Darge and Kai Miettinen picking up the assists.

Valery-Trabucco scored his first goal, a power play goal, at 15:18 of the second period, with Wehebe Darge and Andy Camenzind picking up the assists. Valery-Trabucco scored his second goal, a power play goal, at 18:45 of the third period, with Jordon Brunt and Tyler Kubara picking up the assists. Valery-Trabucco scored his third goal at 10:23 of the third period, with Tyler Kubara and Andy Camenzind picking up the assists.

Wehebe Darge scored one goal and five assists for six points.

Tyler Kubara’s first goal came at 2:38 of the first period, with Kai Miettinen and Wehebe Darge picking up the assists. The second goal for Kubara was scored at 1:14 of the second period, with Andy Camenzind getting the assist.

Andy Camenzind got three assists for three points, while Kai Miettinen got two assists for two points.

Austin McKenzie scored the lone Ice goal at 9:59 of the first period, assisted by Christian Pansino and Kahu Joyce.

Alex Tetreault was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 30 saves on 31 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.968.  Michael James was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 57 saves on 66 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.864.
