
SYDNEY – Aiden Sillato’s hat trick and a goal to Shannon McGregor saw the Sydney Ice Dogs blow away the Melbourne Ice 6-1 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Sunday evening.
The first goal for Sillato was scored at 19:50 of the first period, with Grant Toulmin getting the assist. The second goal for Sillato was scored at 13:33 of the second period, with Grant Toulmin and Jeremy Vasquez picking up the assists. Sillato scored his third goal at 3:54 of the second period, with Grant Toulmin getting the assist.
Shannon McGregor scored the game winning goal at 14:36 of the 1st, assisted by Jeremy Vasquez and Marcus Hosen. McGregor also got one assist for two points.
Grant Toulmin got three assists for three points, and Jeremy Vasquez got two assists for two points.
Jeff Hu scored the lone Ice goal at 17:35 of the third period, assisted by Paul Lazzarotto and Robert Clark.
Jakob Doornbos was the winning goalie for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 35 saves on 36 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.972. Michael James was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 37 saves on 43 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.860.
