Three Points By Landa Helps Bears Beat Ice

SYDNEY – Tomas Landa tallied three points and Glen Forbes-White earned a shut-out as the Sydney Bears defeated the Melbourne Ice 4-0 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Saturday evening.

Landa scored a goal at 6:46 of the second period, assisted by Thomas Moncrieff and Timothy Newmark.  Landa also picked up two assists during the game for three points.

Kenshin Hayashi scored the game winning goal at 0:08 of the 1st, assisted by Landa and Alexander Gauthier.

Gauthier scored one goal and one assist for two points.  Thomas Moncrieff got two assists for two points.

There were 4 penalties at 1:51 of the 3rd period, resulting in 50 minutes of penalties. Ellesse Carini and Kahu Joyce got fighting and Game Misconduct penalties each.

Glen Forbes-White was the winning goalie for Sydney Bears, making 14 saves on 14 shots, for a Save Percentage of 1.000.  Michael James was the losing goalie for Melbourne Ice, making 30 saves on 34 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.882.
