
SYDNEY – Joseph Hughes found the back of the net twice and Bayley Kubara earned three points as the CBR Brave defeated the Sydney Ice Dogs 7-3 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Saturday evening.
Hughes’ first goal came at 13:32 of the first period, with Jordon Brunt and Mario Valery-Trabucco picking up the assists. The second goal for Hughes was scored at 18:38 of the second period, with Andy Camenzind and Bayley Kubara picking up the assists.
Wehebe Darge scored the game winning goal at 18:16 of the 2nd, assisted by Casey Kubara and Mike Giorgi.
Darge, Bayley Kubara, Casey Kubara and Andy Camenzind all scored one goal and one assist for two points each.
Tyler Kubara and Mario Valery-Trabucco got two assists for two points each.
Start Allen’s first goal for the Ice Dogs came at 10:55 of the first period, with Jeremy Vasquez and Cameron Todd picking up the assists. The second goal for Allen was scored at 19:39 of the third period, with Marcus Hosen and Cameron Todd picking up the assists.
Marcus Hosen scored one goal and one assist for two points, and Cameron Todd got three assists for three points.
Alex Tetreault was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 20 saves on 23 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.870. Connor Dowell was the losing goalie for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 38 saves on 45 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.844.
