
SYDNEY – Jake Ratcliffe scored two goals and Michael Poirier earned two points as the Sydney Bears beat the Sydney Ice Dogs 3-2 at the Macquarie Ice Rink on Saturday evening.
Ratcliffe’s first goal came at 19:30 of the first period, with Tyerell Clare and Michael Poirier picking up the assists. Ratcliffe scored his second goal, which was the game winner, at 15:23 of the third period, with Timothy Newmark getting the assist.
Michael Poirier scored one goal and one assist for two points.
Jeremy Vasquez and Thomas Voller scored the goals for the Ice Dogs.
Glen Forbes-White was the winning goalie for Sydney Bears, making 23 saves on 25 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.920. Jakob Doornbos was the losing goalie for Sydney Ice Dogs, making 53 saves on 56 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.946.
