CANBERRA – Casey Kubara scored a hat trick and Tyler Kubara found the back of the net twice as the CBR Brave demolished the Newcastle Northstars 9-3 at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre on Saturday evening.

Casey Kubara’s first goal came at 2:13 of the first period unassisted. Kubara scored his second goal at 17:25 of the third period, with Wehebe Darge and Mario Valery-Trabucco picking up the assists. Kubara scored his third goal at 7:52 of the third period, with Wehebe Darge and Mario Valery-Trabucco picking up the assists.  Casey also scored two assists for five points.

Tyler Kubara scored his first goal at 1:21 of the first period, with Mike Giorgi getting the assist. The second goal for Kubara was scored at 13:19 of the third period, with Andy Camenzind and Joseph Hughes picking up the assists.

The first goal for Garret Cockerill was scored at 14:22 of the second period, with Casey Kubara and Wehebe Darge picking up the assists. Cockerill scored his second goal, the game winning goal, at 11:25 of the second period, with Matthew Price and Mario Valery-Trabucco picking up the assists.

Wehebe Darge and Mario Valery-Trabucco got three assists for three points.  Joseph Hughes got two assists for two points.

Francis Drolet scored one goal and one assist for two points for the Northstars.

Alex Tetreault was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 22 saves on 25 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.880.  James Downie was the losing goalie for Newcastle Northstars, making 43 saves on 52 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.827.
