MELBOURNE – GAME REVIEW – Joseph Hughes found the back of the net twice and two points to Mitchell Henning helped the CBR Brave blew away the Newcastle Northstars 6-1 in the Second Semi Final at the O’Brien Icehouse on Friday night.
The first goal for Hughes was scored at 18:31 of the second period, with Andy Camenzind getting the assist. The second goal for Hughes was scored at 8:58 of the second period unassisted.
Mitchell Henning and Wehebe Darge scored one goal and one assist for two points each.
Lynden Lodge got two assists for two points.
Robert Malloy scored the lone Northstars goal on the power play at 14:16 of the first period, assisted by Richard Tesarik and Liam Manwarring.
Alex Tetreault was the winning goalie for CBR Brave, making 27 saves on 28 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.964. Charles Smart was the losing goalie for Newcastle Northstars, making 48 saves on 54 shots, for a Save Percentage of 0.889.
